Every one shows what the pack costs and what 100 g costs, so you can compare a 50 g white against a 100 g black without doing sums.
A sample, flat $3.50 whatever the tea. Three cups of a black, two sessions of an oolong. Buy three of these before you commit to anything over thirty dollars.
The size we use for the expensive ones, because 50 g of silver needle is still twelve good cups and $38 is easier to risk than $76.
The default. A month of one cup a day for a black tea at 3 g, or twenty multi-infusion sessions of a rolled oolong at 5 g. Stays good about six months in the tin tie.
Only for a tea you already drink daily. It takes roughly a tenth off the price per 100 g, and it is more leaf than most people finish before it flattens.
New Zealand is $7.50 flat by tracked courier, two to four working days, and free on orders over $70. Australia is $16.00, five to nine working days. We pack Tuesday to Friday; an order placed on Saturday leaves on Tuesday.
Thirty days from delivery on an unopened pouch, refunded in full including the original delivery. Once the tin tie is off we cannot resell it, so an opened pouch is only replaced if the leaf is stale or wrong — write to us and we will send the right one.
Weighed on a trade-approved scale to within one gram, always over rather than under, and the weight is net of the pouch. A 100 g pack of a bulky rolled oolong looks about twice the size of 100 g of broken black leaf — that is volume, not a mistake.
One foil-lined kraft pouch with a tin tie per tea, labelled with the lot, the picking season and the date it was weighed. A printed brewing card goes in with every pouch. A first order also gets a 5 g measuring scoop, which is the amount most of these teas want.
Green tea is at its best within four months and noticeably flatter after eight. Black and oolong hold for a year in the closed pouch. Fermented pu-erh improves. Keep all of it away from light, heat and the spice shelf — leaf takes on whatever is next to it.
Yes, from 1 kg a tea, at a trade price we quote per lot because the landed cost moves. Write to the counter with what you pour and how much of it, and we will send a sample set and a price list the same week.
