The counter is a working weighing room with three teas open on the bench. You can smell the dry leaf, taste the brewed cup, and leave with ten grams of it for $3.50.
Monday and Tuesday are packing days and the shutter is down, though if you knock and someone is weighing they will usually let you in. Street parking on Tyne Street is free and almost always empty before eleven.
Yes. Ten grams of any tea on the shelf is $3.50 flat, whatever it normally costs per 100 g, and twelve of them is $42.00 with free delivery. People usually pick four. Say which in the message box and we will weigh them out.
From 1 kg a tea. The trade price is quoted per lot because the landed cost moves between shipments, and it sits roughly a third under the shelf price. We send a sample set, a price list and a one-page brewing sheet for your staff within the week.
Choose the waitlist option above and name the tea. The Shincha Yabukita is expected back on 14 March with the new season's first picking; everything else returns when the next lot lands, which we cannot promise to a date. You get one message, on the day it goes on the shelf.
An hour and a half each way for a shop the size of a front room, so be honest with yourself. Come on a Saturday if you do: three teas are open on the bench, you can taste before you weigh, and the Victorian precinct is a hundred metres down the street.
Write with the order number and what is wrong, and the replacement goes out on the next packing day at our cost. An unopened pouch can go back within 30 days for a full refund including delivery. We do not ask for the leaf back when it is our mistake.
